Cars are my life, my livelihood and my passion.
I’ve been into cars since I was a kid. I had a golf buggy-powered Mighty Boy, called ‘The Brat’ at grandpa’s farm at age five, and used to throw my weight around to have more turns than my younger brother. At another farm, nearly a decade later, my friends and I discovered a dumped joyride Gemini with the screwdriver still in the ignition: turn, start, realise there were no stoppers apart from the handbrake, and welcome to sideways rear-drive hilarity! Hooked ever since.
I am a freelance motoring journalist, and am also the Media and Comms Manager at Sydney Motorsport Park, Eastern Creek. I have worked and fought hard for the past 15 years to earn the respect of my peers in both this arena and on the track.
I have also, with help from fabulous friends and colleagues in the sport, built up and driven several tarmac rally cars, nabbing a few national titles along the way. It is an amazing, all-in team sport, and has taught me so much – and how much is left to learn.
